Chaotic office environment

chaotic office environment

You are in a serious rut if you are undergoing any or all of the below office issues:
  1. Lack of time-management skills.
  2. No or poor planning and prioritizing
  3. Last minute panic attacks
  4. Failure to meet deadlines
  5. Disorganized database management
  6. Troublesome navigation of records
  7. No focus on goals. No goals set
  8. Lack of teamwork
  9. Poor communication
  10. Weak leadership
  11. Vague and flexible policies and procedures
  12. Poor customer services and feedback
  13. Frequent client complaints
  14. Frequent absenteeism
  15. Disrupted office management
Be a hub of productivity to the Company not a chunk of liability. These are FEW of my personal hacks that keeps me sane and pretty much effective to date.

1. Every morning I get to my desk, I am energized and feel more productive seeing a clean, uncluttered desk. The previous day, I make sure all my papers, files and about anything on my desk that cause clutter is back in its place.

2. Get your Priority list up. Follow it, whatsoever. The little distraction that takes your time, make a note. Those which require immediate attention, first cross check your priority list... then proceed!

3. Work while you work; close all unnecessary tabs! With era of technology and social media, distractions are endless, that one can "work" from 8-5pm with nothing else but these distractions. Make sure you give at least 4-5 hours of productive work not to please the Company, for yourself. I feel good achieving a milestone or completing tasks on/before time. It boosts my confidence and the way people perceive me.

Be productive in your work

4.
Clear your desktop - Have organized folders and sub folders. Master the art of categorizing.

5. Move around... Stretch and stay hydrated. Get your funny ha ha moments. Lighten up

6. Time your emails (
5 Office Productivity Hacks); receiving and responding. I used to respond to all incoming mails and was good at giving prompt response/customer service. However, I realized the need to focus on the actual work. Replying to every mail throughout the 8 hours was unproductive. Morning and evening (before closing hours) worked for me!

7. If you can go digital, please do it, than photocopying and storing every single piece of paper. Moreover, its easier to retrieve and submit as and when requested.
